Turkish students went to the art museum. Our students made pictures. Then our students created a three-dimensional form.
Our pupils visited the İstanbul Modern Museum in İstanbul. They visited the "Past and Future" exhibition.
"Past and Future", Istanbul Modern’s new permanent collection exhibition, adopts a chronological format to address the transformation of modern and contemporary art in Turkey from its beginning to the present day.
At the same time, it serves as a vehicle to showcase a collection that future fields of creative expression can exploit. The exhibition features some 180 works by 136 artists from the Museum’s varied collection, which both claims the past as a cultural and artistic legacy and shapes the future through its interaction with the present. As it explores the exchanges across time inherent in art, the exhibition also underscores the rich diversity between past and future that gives the collection its unique character.

Through educational programs accompanying the collection exhibition Past and Future, the Istanbul Modern is helping children reinforce what they learn in school and develop their creativity by learning about new possibilities of expression in art. In this program, which aims to render accessible the unique possibilities offered by museums that provide the opportunity to work directly with objects, children experiment, compare, research, explore, discuss, and study exhibits.

European Heritage Day - September 28, 2013 - Italy, Conversano: pupils visit the "Paolo Domenico Finoglio" Art Gallery
In the week of European Heritage Day, our children visited the museum in the castle of Conversano and admired the masterpieces by Paolo Domenico Finoglio (c. 1590 – 1645), an Italian painter of the early-Baroque period, active mainly in South Italy, including Naples and towns in Apulia region.
In the castle there is the decorative series of ten large canvases on episodes of Torquato Tasso's epic Gerusalemme Liberata (Jerusalem Delivered). The series was commissioned for the family castle starting in 1634 by the count of Conversano, Giangirolamo II Acquaviva d'Aragona.
